A York County, PA couple is behind bars after an argument over the popular TV show, American Idol, led to a stabbing. 57-year-old Gregory Stambaugh of West Manchester Township and 48-year-old Karen Harrelson are in York County Prison after the incident on May 15th. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Stambaugh stated, “Karen started drinking at 5 A.M. in the morning and was drinking beer and a lot of tequila throughout the day.” Stambaugh continued to say that he “didn’t start drinking till after 12 noon and that he was drinking beer and had a pint of Scotch.” A statement in the Affidavit explained, “The two of them were watching American Idol and there was (an) argument between the two of them as to which singer was going to win the competition.” During the argument, Stambaugh told police that Harrelson went upstairs to the kitchen, got a knife, came back downstairs, and began stabbing him. He told police that he fought the knife away, and Harrelson got cut in the struggle. Harrelson’s argument is the complete opposite, with Stambaugh stabbing her, and her defending herself with a kitchen knife. When police arrived, Stambaugh and Harrelson were standing on the front porch, bloodied and arguing.
I hope they don't watch The Voice together! SMFH
